Third through sixth grade students who read at least 5 of the 20 nominated titles are eligible to vote in the state-wide Texas Bluebonnet Award election sponsored by the Texas Library Association.  The election is held in of January each year.
The author of the book receiving the most votes will be the recipient of the annual Texas Bluebonnet Award which will be presented at the Texas Library Association Conference in April.

  • 2000: The Ghost of Fossil Glen by Cynthia DeFelice.
