PERMANENT FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE

A permanent full-time employee shall be an individual employed on a permanent basis scheduled to work 32-40 hours per week.

PERMANENT PART-TIME EMPLOYEE

A permanent part-time employee shall be an individual employed on a permanent basis scheduled to work at least 20 but less than 32 hours per week.

TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE

A temporary employee shall be an individual employed to work 32 or more hours per week for a specified period of less than 4-1/2 months, or an individual employed to work less than 20 hours per week for an unspecified period.

SUBSTITUTE

A substitute shall be an individual hired to fill a position which is temporarily vacant due to the absence of a District employee.

VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENT EMPLOYEE

Vocational assessment employees shall be individuals hired to fill part-time positions for vocational assessments. Assessment personnel will be paid at the continuous employee rate for substitutes.

BENEFITS INSURANCE

Individuals must work at least 20 hours per week to participate in the District's health insurance program, and must be hired to work more than 4-1/2 months. Individuals who work at least 32 hours per week for 4-1/2 months or more may participate in the District's insurance program with the District contributing a specified amount to cover the premium.
