The District's contribution to the health insurance premium shall be discontinued for employees who are on leave of absence due to an on-the-job injury. When an employee is placed on unpaid leave of absence after paid leave is exhausted, or when the employee chooses to take an unpaid leave of absence without using all his or her accumulated leave benefits, COBRA coverage shall be offered to the employee.
