Woodstone holds fourth-grade Science Day

Woodstone Elementary School celebrated fourth-grade Science Day on March 6-7 and welcomed the "Science Guys" to the school.  The "Science Guys" team, made up of S. Keller Drozdick and Eric Rolfhus, presented a lesson on buoyancy to the students. The team brought the supplies and wrote the lesson plan to teach the students about science. Each lesson started with a short "safety in the lab" discussion and then went on to science vocabulary and a science word of the day. The student's word of the day was "meniscus."

In addition, students received a lab tray and clipboard worksheet to reflect on and to document each step of the Scientific Process.  At the end of the day each student was able to take home their experiment on buoyancy.

"When can we do this again?" asked the Woodstone fourth graders. "These guys are awesome!"
