Olympic spirit hits Oak Meadow

In the spirit of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games, Oak Meadow Elementary School launched a school-wide competition called "Camp Oak Meadow Games," which will continue until the end of school. The games are designed to build school and class spirit and to take care of many end of school responsibilities in a fun way.

The school has been divided into six color-coded teams spanning all grade levels. Beginning April 17, teams started earning points for performing various school activities and great behavior. Students earn points for attendance, room and desk cleanliness, reading time, participation in special dress up days, attitude toward others, and more. To add to the fun, a secretly appointed judge will roam the school looking for ways to award more points to students and classes.
