Reagan High School and Churchill High School placed first and third respectively at the 2008 Nike Volleyball Classic August 28 - 31 in Pearland, Texas. The NEISD schools competed against more than 70 teams from across the state, battling in more than 200 matches.

Reagan starters included setter Allie Murray, Amber Tatsch, Preslie Alexander, Rachel James, Kayla Keller and Danielle Sanchou. Murray was named the tournament's Outstanding Setter while Tatsch was named the tournament MVP and Alexander was named Outstanding Hitter. Sanchou was named to the All-Tournament team.

Churchill was led to third place victory by Chrissy Glenn, Alycia Cox, Polly Korbel and Deveney Wells-Gibson. Vaughan, Korbel and Cox were all named to the All-Tournament team.
