The Madison High School football team has been named the Texas Football AAAAA Team of the Year for 2007 by Dave Campbell's Texas Football (DCTF) magazine. The team and coaching staff will be honored at an awards presentation and receive a trophy, a check for $500 for the athletic program and recognition in the Texas Football magazine and Web site this coming summer. DCTF has teamed up with the U.S. Army to create this Army Strong Team of the Year Award.
 
"This is a great honor for Madison to be named team of the year out of 245 AAAAA football teams in Texas," said Coach Jim Streety.
