Community Education summer registration begins


Registration is underway for North East Community Education's (NECE) summer session. Hundreds of classes, ranging from skin care to motorcycle maintenance, will be offered in June.

Among the newly scheduled classes are dog show basics for the curious and the serious, floral design, square foot gardening, knitting for newcomers, San Antonio Homes & Gardens tour, yoga for kids and digital photography and me for first- through third-grade.

Also new this session is a series of classes from Wired Designs Studio at Artisan's Alley, and back by popular demand are Whole Foods Market cooking classes.

NECE offers classes in areas of business, arts and crafts, dance, music and drama, exercise, sports and outdoor activities, financial, health, home and garden, languages, leisure interests, personal improvement, sewing and stitchery, technology and travel. Also offered are classes for youth, as well as online classes.

Classes will be offered at the Community Learning Center at 8750 Tesoro Drive and Alamo Heights High School. Registration can be done online, as well as by phone, fax or mail.
