Churchill One-Act Play goes to state - twice in two years

Churchill High School, competing in the region contest on April 5, was selected by the critic judge to advance to the state contest. Ben Mandelbaum was once again named Best Actor, receiving this honor for the fourth consecutive level of competition. Also receiving acting awards were Forrest Weber for All-Star Cast and Stephanie Vorpahl and Wilson Bondeson as Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. Additional cast members include: Justin Broido, Shawn Allen, Sarah Lavere and Jordan Clark. Crew members include: Megan Field, Israel Badillo, Patricio Erhard and Christopher Villanueva. Alternates include: Amanda Bianchi, Garrett Hill, Andrew Wofford and Sierra Weber. Directors are Clark Stevens and Andy Thornton. The One-Act Play contest had 1,203 schools enter in March. Of that number, 240 were 5A schools throughout the state, and Churchill has emerged as one of the top eight in the state. The state contest will be held at Hogg Auditorium on April 26.
