ATA students win at Ford/AAA competition

Students from the Automotive Technology Academy (ATA) recently competed in the State Ford/AAA competition in Houston, where only 10 teams of two from the state were selected to compete. ATA had two teams qualify for the hands-on competition. The first team of Andrew Burke and George Tuzil placed eighth and received a set of tools, while the other team of Cameron Girgus and Ruben Rodriguez placed second, receiving a set of tools and a full scholarship to Wyo Tech - equivalent to $25,000 each. "The Automotive Technology Academy is very proud of these students," said David Bailey, director of ATA.

The Ford/AAA competition challenges high school student's knowledge and mechanical abilities in the field of automotive technology. For more information on this competition or ATA, contact David Bailey at 210-637-4975.
