North East ISD will host a teacher Job Fair on May 3, 2008 at Littleton Gymnasium, Blossom Athletic Center. Elementary and secondary teacher sessions will be offered during separate times. The elementary teacher Job Fair will be from 8-11:30 a.m., and the secondary teacher Job Fair will be from 1-4:30 p.m.
Priority will be given during the elementary fair to bilingual/ESL teachers and Speech Pathologists. Priority will also be given during the secondary fair for math, science, special education and ESL teachers and speech pathologists.
Requirements:
- Must be a certified teacher or candidate completing requirements for teacher certification.
- Completion of on-line application. (See www.neisd.net.)
- Bring multiple copies of resume. (Copy machine is not available.)
- Candidates seeking consideration for post-bac internships will not be considered. Exception: Career technology candidates with approved SOQ and worksheet deficiency plan from an approved teacher preparation program.
- Alternative Certification candidates: Bring acceptance letter and letter of completion of pre-assignment training from approved ACP program. Will consider only if pursuing special education, bilingual/ESL or possibly other critical need areas. Fully credentialed candidates are given priority consideration.
- All teachers teaching core subject areas must meet No Child Left Behind "Highly Qualified" requirements.
