Roosevelt celebrates National Library Week
EVENT: Library Week
DATE: Apr. 14-18
TIME: varies
LOCATION: Roosevelt High School, 5110 Walzem Rd.

Students and staff from Roosevelt High School are "rocking" the TR Library in celebration of National Library Week, April 14-18, 2008. Students and staff are welcomed to stop by to play Guitar Hero on the PS2 (Play Station). Each day this week, the Roosevelt Library will sponsor events to encourage patrons to visit the new location. (The library moved to the original cafeteria after it was refurbished.)

"Our new location is so beautiful and user-friendly," said Mariya Rodriguez, librarian. "We wanted to show it off. National Library Week seemed like the perfect time. We've already seen teens on Monday that we've never seen before.  They are even asking us to open early because they want to hang out with their friends and play."  Electronic gaming is just one of many ways that the library staff is trying to draw in students.
