North East ISD will host Relay for Life of Northeast San Antonio, an official event of the American Cancer Society, on May 17-18, 2008 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Blossom Athletic Center. This is an overnight relay event to raise money for the American Cancer Society, raise awareness about cancers and provide health education for the community. This event is a time to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost and join the fight against cancer. This year's theme is "Night at the Movies."
The Relay for Life of Northeast San Antonio relay goal is to register 50 survivors and 50 teams, and the fundraising goal is to raise $50,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Individuals and groups are invited to join in the fight to find a cure. To participate in the relay or "Survivor's Lap," contact one of the following:
