The Dance department of North East School of the Arts (NESA) will present its annual concert Footnotes: A Concert of Dance on April 3-6, 2008 at Lee High School. Featuring the NESA students majoring in dance, as well as the Musical Theatre majors, the dance concert showcases a diverse range of dance styles and music. NESA teachers Dena Mabry and Carolyn Shierk have choreographed pieces for the students and have brought in nationally-known choreographers from around the country to set pieces for the dancers. Jazz, ballet, musical theatre, dramatic lyrical dance and hip hop performances will be part of the show.
Tickets are $8 for reserved tickets and $10 at the door one hour before curtain. Reservations can be made by calling 210-442-2510 or online at www.neisd.net/nesa/ from March 18-25. Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, April 1-4, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
