What is it? ¿Qué es?
The NEISD Parent Portal is a secure Web site that gives parents more information about their child's daily performance at school. Through the Internet, parents can access information about their students any time, any where. The goal of the Parent Portal is to create a better partnership between NEISD parents and teachers. This new tool will help parents be more involved with their child by providing a virtual window into the classroom. El Portal Para Padres de NEISD es un sitio Web seguro que proporciona más información a los padres sobre el rendimiento diario de su hijo o hija en la escuela. A través del Internet, los padres pueden obtener acceso a información acerca de sus estudiantes en cualquier momento, de cualquier lugar. La meta del Portal Para Padres es crear una mejor asociación entre los padres y maestros de NEISD. Este nuevo instrumento ayudará que los padres estén más relacionados con sus hijos proporcionándoles una ventana virtual hacia dentro del aula.
 What can I use it for?  ¿Para qué puedo utilizarlo?
 The Parent Portal is like having a daily progress report from each teacher. Parents can currently use the portal to:
  • Email teachers
  • Check grades
  • View attendance
  • Monitor food service accounts.

Additional options will be added periodically to improve the Parent Portal's usefulness.

  El Portal Para Padres es como tener un informe de progreso diario de cada maestro. Los padres en la actualidad pueden utilizar el portal para:
  • Enviar correo electrónico a los maestros,
  • Revisar calificaciones,
  • Examinar la asistencia
  • Supervisar las cuentas del servicio de comida.

Periódicamente se añadirán opciones adicionales para mejorar la utilidad del Portal Para Padres.
 How do I register for access? ¿Cómo me puedo inscribir para obtener acceso?
  1. Visit http://portal.neisd.net.
  2. Select Register under the Account Login section.
  3. Complete the information fields and select Register and Sign In Now.
  4. Click on the My Account tab and follow the instructions to add your child.
  5. Select Add and your child's name appears in the list. (Repeat for additional children.)
  6. If you are the legal parent or guardian, an access key will be mailed to your home in an unmarked envelope to ensure security.
  7. Once you receive the access key by mail, return to the portal, login and click on My Account.
  8. Click on the Enter Access Key link. Enter the access key for that child and click Submit. (Repeat for additional children.) This changes your access to unrestricted, but you can also select to restrict access under My Account.
  9.  You can now view information about your child by selecting the Grades, Attendance and Food Service tabs.
  10. Make sure you Logoff the portal each time you end the session (upper right corner).

For assistance, review the Tips column on the right side of every page or call the help desk at 210-805-5315.
  1. Visite http://portal.neisd.net .
  2. Seleccione Register bajo la sección Account Login.
  3. Llene los espacios en blanco y seleccione Register and Sign In Now.
  4. Pulse en My Account y siga las instrucciones para agregar el nombre de su hijo o hija.
  5. Seleccione Add y el nombre de su hijo/a aparecerá en la lista. (Repita el proceso para más niños.)
  6. Si usted es el padre/ madre o tutor legal, se le enviará a casa por correo una contraseña (clave de acceso) en un sobre sin señales para asegurar su seguridad.
  7. Una vez que usted reciba por correo la contraseña, regrese al portal, haga el login y pulse en My Account.  
  8. Haga click en el enlace Enter Access Key. Ingrese la contraseña para ese niño y haga click en Submit. (Repita el proceso para más niños.) Esto cambia su acceso a libre acceso, pero usted puede también seleccionar el limitar el acceso bajo My Account.
  9. Ahora usted puede visualizar la información sobre su hijo o hija al seleccionar Grades, Attendance y Food Service.
  10. Asegúrese de terminar la conexión haciendo un Logoff del portal cada vez que termine la sesión (esquina superior a la derecha).
