EMPLOYMENT BULLETIN

SENIOR ARMY INSTRUCTOR
3 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Retired Army Officer in grand O3 thru O6, Not retired for more than three years (for initial employment)
Possess the qualifications prescribed by Army regulations to and Cadet Command Regulation 145-2 para 4-5 be certified as a JROTC instructor, current certification a plus
Possess working knowledge and proficiency in computer skills with Microsoft programs
Experience with young adults through coaching, scouting or church activities a plus
Possess those special requirements to satisfy physical examination, photographic and educational development courses as directed by TRADOC to AR 145-2

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers and manages the JROTC program effectively according to law, regulations, policies and principles
Activity recruit students to join JROTC; maintain enrollment at or above 100 cadets or a minimum of 10% of school enrollment
Achieve desired learning goals by teaching prescribed JROTC subjects listed in the Program of Instruction
Maintains proficiency in military subjects taught
Modify and improve given instruction by remaining continuously alert to new alternative instructional methods and motivational techniques
Maintains arms and supply facilities in strict compliance with Army security regulations
Comply to the letter with Army and school district safety guidelines in all instances when instructing, supervising, monitoring, accompanying or escorting cadets
Ensures facilities provided are adequate to support program
Coach integrated curricular teams in accordance with Director of Army Instruction guidance, which will require being at school at 0700, after school until 1800, and many weekends
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY: Per Army Regulations PAY GRADE: A2 WORK SCHEDULE: Twelve Months
