| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree a plus
- Possess four to ten years related experience and/or training
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification in Special Education by the State Board
- Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

| MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Reviews evaluation of student progress on a regular basis has input in making decisions for improving effectiveness
- Develops and monitors individual Education Plans to promote alignment of program activities with desired outcomes
- Strives to keep personnel informed on pertinent matters
- Prepares, reviews and revises teacher assistant job descriptions outlining responsibilities as appropriate and necessary
- Delegates duties, responsibilities and functions effectively
- Assists with the development and design of the special education program with the overall master schedule
- Responds to parent/community concerns in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate inventory list of all SERS materials
- Addresses student achievement deficiencies by focusing resources and efforts to promote excellence
- Provides input for the identification, review and analysis of resource and equipment needs
- Provides leadership in addressing the challenges facing the procession
- Disseminates ideas and information to other professionals
- Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
