INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
STEM ACADEMY
LEE HIGH SCHOOL AND NIMITZ MIDDLE SCHOOL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university
Master's Degree a plus
Possess a minimum of three years teaching and leadership experience
Expertise working with hardware and instructional software applications
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Valid Texas Driver License with driving record that meets the requirements of the school district

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides leadership and support to administrators, teachers and students by directing integration initiatives and facilitating staff development
Uses student achievement and other data to develop and conduct professional development on campuses and at Central Office that improves both instruction and administrative functions
Empowers teachers to independently integrate technology on a regular basis by modeling and co-teaching in classrooms and labs methods and strategies that appropriately integrate technology in all content areas
Meets regularly with specialist and coordinators in the Division of Instruction to collaboratively support the achievement of District and campus academic goals
Keeps current on educational research, teaching methods, curriculum design, and technology tools that will positively influence instruction
Assists STEM Academy in the development of policies and procedures regarding instructional technology issues
Serves as a liaison between campus and Central Office personnel for instructional technology planning and purchasing
Facilitates Campus Technology Committees and STEM Advisory Board Technology Committee to develop solution sets to technology related problems
Uses student achievement and other data to develop and conduct professional development on campuses and Central Office that improves both instruction, STEM initiatives and administrative functions
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY: $50,240-$61,645 PAY GRADE: A3 WORK SCHEDULE: Eleven Months
