MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work a plus Master's Degree a plus Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Texas Teaching Certification by the State Board a plus Valid Texas Counselor Certification by the State Board a plus Valid Texas Driver License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist at risk students progress in the classroom by providing support and information to school staff and parents Participate in conferences pertaining to student behavior, social adjustment and academic performance Help at risk students attain maximum educational benefits by informing them about and if necessary, referring them to special programs Performs intake information for at risk students experiencing barriers to achievement and attendance Assist in development of campus and department plans Reports information approved by the principal to parents, guardians and appropriate school staff to promote a positive caring climate of learning Communicates effectively the goals of campus programs to parents, guardians, school staff, Parent Teacher Association members and civic organizations Assists campuses in attaining the goal of drug free schools Encourages personal and professional growth of campus personnel in the areas of cultural and linguistic differences, barriers to attendance, withdrawn and disruptive children, class room management, social skills Protects confidentiality of records/information Maintains records for accountability of services Maintains home school links through home visits Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
SALARY:	$48,200-$59,141	PAY GRADE:	A3	WORK SCHEDULE:	Ten Months
