DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL KSAT-iMAK MAGNET SCHOOLS
KRUEGER MIDDLE SCHOOL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree
Three years experience as a classroom teacher
Valid Texas Teacher Certification by the State Board
Valid Texas Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Principal or Mid-Management Certification
Professional Development Appraisal System Certification by the Texas Education Agency
Valid Texas Driver License with driving record that meets the requirements of the school district

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs the day to day activities of the KSAT and iMAK Magnet Programs and provide instructional leadership for approximately thirty-six magnet school teachers
Monitors student achievement by reviewing and analyzing District and state testing data
Directs and oversees the coordination of all associated activities for the magnet programs
Manages budgeted funds and oversees SAF and CAF accounts for KSAT, iMAK and YATP
Assists the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations
Coordinates assigned student activities and services
Monitors student data and supports intervention programs
Observes employee performance, records observations and conducts evaluation conferences
Supervises operations in principal's absence
Helps plan daily school activities by participating in the development of class schedules, teacher assignments and extracurricular activity schedules
Supervises reporting and monitoring of student attendance and work with attendance clerk on follow up investigation
Conducts conferences on student and school issues with parents, students and teachers
Establishes and maintains positive relations with the magnet school community and ensures their continued involvement and support
Assists with school discipline
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY: $60,341-$73,140 PAY GRADE: A5 WORK SCHEDULE: Eleven Months
