COORDINATOR FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE
(PART-TIME)
CURRICULUM COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree
  • At least five (5) years teaching experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certification by State Board
  • Valid Texas Supervision or Mid-Management Certification by the State Board a plus
  • Valid Texas Drivers License with a driving record that meets the requirements of the District
MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures the implementation of TEKS-based instruction at every campus in every foreign language taught
  • Promotes District goals,objectives, and vision
  • Manages the District's foreign language budget
  • Directs and expand the foreign language program at the elementary campuses
  • Provides direction and support to foreign language department chairpersons and teachers as they integrate rigor, relevance, and relationship structures and strategies into their specific foreign language curriculum
  • Directs and manages the selection of curriculum materials, textbooks, classroom resources, and other foreign language program needs
  • Assists with new teacher orientation and mentoring programs through collaboration with instructional staff development personnel
  • Ensures high quality professional development opportunities for teachers
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of the summer school foreign language programs
  • Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
SALARY: $28,081 - $34,456 PAY GRADE: A4 WORK SCHEDULE: ELEVEN MONTHS
