EMPLOYMENT BULLETIN

ACADEMIC DEAN OF INSTRUCTION
BUSH MIDDLE SCHOOL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree
Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Texas Teacher Certification by the State Board
Valid Supervision and/or Mid-Management Certification by the State Board a plus
Valid Texas Driver License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists administrators and teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing the District curriculum, goals and objectives
Collaborates with central office staff, administrators, department chairperson, and team leaders in monitoring the delivery of curriculum
Utilizes a clinical supervision model to observe teachers and provide feedback on instruction
Collaborates with high school and elementary instructional staff to vertically align the curriculum and instructional practices
Coordinates and articulates the Pre-AP and enrichment programs for the campus
Assists administrators and teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing staff development programs
Assists in developing, implementing, and assessing best practice teaching methodologies in the classroom
Performs demonstration teaching within the classrooms
Coordinate the extended day, week, and year initiatives for the campus
Assists in developing, implementing, and assessing the Campus Improvement Plan
Assists in developing the master schedule
Plans, coordinates, and assesses, in collaboration with feeder school administrators, transition activities for 5th to 6th and 8th to 9th grade students
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY: $56,502-$69,329 PAY GRADE: A4 WORK SCHEDULE: Eleven Months
