Within a well-balanced mathematics curriculum, the primary focal points at Grade 4 are applying multiplication and division,  developing the skills of comparing and ordering fractions and decimals using concrete models, and developing ideas related to congruence and symmetry.
 
Continuing Threads, all of which must be addressed, maintained, and monitored throughout the year, are: probability, statistics, fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement.
