Within a well-balanced mathematics curriculum, the primary focal points at first grade are addition
and subtraction of whole numbers and organizing and analyzing data.
Continuing Threads all of which must be addressed, maintained, and monitored throughout the year, are:
number sense, geometry, and measurement, (including money, time, and temperature).
