AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY
The Automotive Technology Academy at Perrin
Central is open to tenth through twelfth grade students. By providing a
state-of-the-art facility and a strong curriculum, the mission of the ATA is to
provide students the knowledge and skills to pursue further education or begin a
career in the automotive industry. ATA will be accredited by the National
Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). ATA will provide
opportunities for all students to apply academics with hands-on experiences.
Students may have up to a one-year internship that will apply toward an
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. ATA students will have the
opportunity to learn automotive brake systems, suspension systems, electrical
systems and engine diagnostics, among other technical skills.
