Harris Middle School welcomed State Senator Jeff Wentworth for an awards ceremony to acknowledge Red Ribbon Week contest winners. Three district winners from Harris were recognized and each received a Texas State Flag that flew over the Capitol in their honor. The school hopes this recognition will create a memory to stay with the students as they continue to grow and mature and become young adults. In support of Red Ribbon Week and the essay contest, State Senator Wentworth issued Senate Proclamation No. 466 to commend the students of Harris for their character and leadership.
