Principal Dr. Barry Lanford of Lopez Middle School and Principal Sharon Newman of Hardy Oak Elementary were presented checks for their schools totaling $2,500 each on behalf of John Worthington, senior vice president of Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU). NEISD parents Daniel and Christine Roberts were the newest winners of SSFCU's "It's So Easy!" sweepstakes and won $5,000. The winners could choose a school for a matching gift - the couple chose Lopez Middle School where their son Benjamin attends and Hardy Oak Elementary where their other son Matthew attends.
