Third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students at Redland Oaks Elementary have been preparing for their first TAKS test on March 5. To acknowledge and celebrate the student's efforts, the school held a "Tune into TAKS" pep rally in the cafeteria during lunchtime. Teachers and students dressed in 50's attire while classic 50's tunes were played off of an old fashioned juke box. "Both the students and the teachers enjoyed this 'blast from the past' music and dance era," said Dr. Mary Longloy, Redland Oaks principal. "This 50's theme was a great way to show our students that we know they are 'Tuned into TAKS'!"
